In HmatrixH the works of Michael Haneke, such as "The Piano Teacher", "Funny Games, "Caché" and "Das Schloß" where combined into an evening length performance by weaving several of the stroy lines together.
The in Hanake's movies prevalent theme of off-camera violence to create tension was successfully brought to the stage.
The production played in two connected theater spaces simultaneous, only by seeing the show in each space the complete story could be comprehended. The below photo's only show the Walker Theater, the other space was lit by my colleague Dante Olivia Smith.
